Sheepdog trialling has historically been a sport for men, but there has been an increase over the years in the number of female handlers taking part in the competitions.
Mother and daughter duo, Josie and Jess Kimpton, are regulars at sheepdog trials around the country and this week have been at the state championships at Molong in central west New South Wales.
